KELLY BENNETT has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1997 and has practiced exclusively in state Government. She has been at the Agency for Health Care Administration since 2001 and has served in several roles. As a Senior Attorney within the Medicaid Division of the Office of the General Counsel she handled litigation related to Medicaid fraud and abuse, as well as other Medicaid-related matters. Kelly also served for five years as the Assistant Bureau Chief for the Bureau of Medicaid Program Integrity; while holding this position she was responsible for the planning and organization investigations of Medicaid providers, referrals of suspected of fraud, recommendations for provider terminations, as well as other functions related to fraud prevention within the Medicaid program. Kelly currently serves as the Agency’s Medicaid Fraud Liaison, serving as the manager of a unit within the Division of Medicaid responsible for coordinating and facilitating fraud and abuse prevention and detection initiatives as well as activities with the Office of Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and other internal and external organizations working to detect, prevent, and recover misspent funds due to fraud and abuse.
